ACTIVITIES
Commencement of the programme:
• The basic and life skill education centres and programmes will
start immediately after the orientation programme.
Groundwork of basic and life skill education curriculum:
• Workshop will be organised regarding preparation of curriculum on
life skill and basic education programme. The Instructors, education
experts, local expert, technical experts, project staffs,
experienced person will be invited to the work shop to finalize
curriculum. The curriculum will be pilot tested before
implementation and necessary changes will be done before
finalization and printing, the workshop will be organised each month
to review the courses and necessary modification. Adequate
learning/teaching materials will be supplied to the centers and
schools.
Orientation and Training to Teachers & Instructors:
• 3 days orientation programme will be organized for all the staff,
Instructor regarding implementation of the program and distribution
of responsibility and task. Besides the training programme review
will be organized in the relevant subjects for the teacher in each
month. The other staffs will be trained form various instititution
on need based thematic area. The expose Infield visit programme will
be organised in each month to gain practical experience and
knowledge. The facilitator will be exposed to various trades and
skill based activities including the special curriculum during the
orientation and will be assessed on stretch norms.
Vocational Training:
• The project aims at providing vocational training the adolescents
The programme has the following objectives:
• To skill development of the vocational training, To provide
vocational training to 50 adolescents of the age group of 10-19
initially and to more and more gradually, To actualize the
potentialities of the adolescents and to enable earn a living and
add to their family income. To help the trainees getting employment'
and employment opportunities. To up grade the socio economic status
of the adolescents.
Orientation programme:
• Three phases training programmme will be organized for the
adolescents youth of the centre in the project location .The
contents will be role, responsibility, aims and objectives of the
project, evaluation process, community role. Follow-up the learner's
progress and activities and village development programmes etc.
Health & immunization and sanitation:
• Regular health camps and immunization check up programme will be
organized in centers and the primary schools of the operational
areas. The students will be diagnosed on various diseases and will
be given and proper treatment. The health awareness /motivation
camps will be organised. The health awareness/motivation camps will
be organised in the centre and the adolescents.
Basic and life skill teaching in the centers:
• The staff will organise minimum 3 hours class in each day in the
centres. He/She will take class in the nighttime also. The classes
will plan to continue with the practical and theory and audio-video
presentation. Besides the classes at the centres, the staff
(facilitators) and sector organiser will visit to the students and
relation with the students to ensure the progress of the learners.
During the life skill transition to the learners necessary knowledge
will be provided on various local based earning sources and out side
scope to think for the future. The staff (facilitators) will conduct
one-day class in the every fortnightly on basic and life skill
education.
Yoga Programme:
• The yoga will be introduced in the residential camps. Reguiar
classes will be started for the physical and mental development of
the learners. Basically the session will be started in the morning
or evening as per suitable time of the learners. The yoga will help
to improve physical and mental growth of the learners and solve the
tension, fear, anger etc. Besides the yoga value based education
programme will be continued for mental growth of the learners.
Organisation of parents network and meeting:
• A federation of the parents will be started in the operational
areas to Solve the problems of the children. The motivational
strategy will be continued for the motivation of the parents for
participation in the empowerment and Development of adolescents
programme, role and responsibility in the education sectors. Besides
the committee meeting the parents will be invited to different
meetings and programmes.
Importance To Girl Children:
• The programme will cater the needs of th~ drop-outs & non-starter
within the age group of 10-19 years. The girl child who has been
deprived of education sector will be motivated to join in the camp
and will be given preference in each stage. Various innovative
methods/approach will be introduced in the camp to attract the girl
child for continuation. Besides the existing curriculum, relevant
classes will be taken on home science, child health, Nutrition
vocational educational, cultural event etc. for building up the
confidence among the girl children.
Mainstreaming:
• Learner's evaluation is an ongoing/regular process, so it w!/!
inbuilt in the day progress of the learners with the help of the
learner card, daily diary and centre planning note book, learners
progress report. The facilitators will personal contact with the
learners and the parents. The learners will be motivated to take
admission in the formal schools.
Scholarship to meritorious learners:
• To attract the learners & provide scope to the talented learners,
a Scholarship examination will be conducted in the camp and the
meritorious students will be awarded with scholarship. The test will
be conducted among the camp.
Award to the teachers/students:
• Looking to the performanance of the camps of the operational
areas, teachers and students will be awarded for their
encouragement. The advisory committee will be selected the award.
Child-to-child motivation:
• A strategy will be developed for the drop out and non-starter
learners to join in the camp. Their friends will be trained to
motivate the children for joining the camps. No children of the
target area will be out of schools.
Development of tools for evaluation:
• A monitoring and evaluation tool will be developed for regular
assessment and evaluation of the entire programme including the
participants progress and camp assessment. Regular feedback will be
given to different functionaries for effective management of the
programme.
Organisation of padayatra, mass rally, street play:
• To motivate the people on the programme and need for basic and
life skills, different activities of the camp etc. Padayatras, mass
rally and street rally will be conducted.
Management information system:
• A management information system will be developed to assess the
learners profile, boys and girls ratio, learners performance and
progress, attendance, of teachers and learners, use of different.
innovative teaching learning materials, attraction of life skills,
different activities of the camps etc. Accordingly
Fortnightly/monthly/quarterly reports will be prepared.
